The town of Jávea has a long list of urbanisations that allow you to live within walking distance or very close to sought after amenities such as the beach, the countryside, golf clubs, the harbour and a large range of cafes, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. Areas Of Javea
We offer properties across the many areas of Javea. From the old town to the Arenal, the port and across the many urbanisations that surround the town. The Old Town
The ‘old town’ as it is commonly known is the oldest part of Javea, as the name would suggest. The history of this part of the community stretches back to Medieval times and was once used as protection from pirates and raiders that would come from the sea. This can be seen most acutely when viewing the gothic church at the centre of this area of the town.
Houses in this section of Javea tend to be apartments and townhouses in the urban area, with fincas and villas available on the outskirts. It is a busy area all year round and offers a very traditional Spanish way of life. The small streets in the oldest parts of this section are mostly pedestrianised and are simply beautiful to walk around.
This part of the town is the hub of government and council buildings, it houses the main medical centre and the large bus stop that connects with other towns.
The Port
The port area, as the name would suggest, is the urbanised area next to the harbour. Originally this area was home to the fisherman of the town, it has since grown into a desirable place to own property. The area tends to have year-round residents but not have the population of the old town.
On of the stand-out features of the port is the Fisherman’s church or the ‘Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Loreto’. It is iconic in the area and there are even rules in place that apartment blocks must not be built above the height of this building. The ceiling when sat inside is the bottom of a fishing boat and if you are only visiting Javea, it is something that must be on your list to sea.
Common properties in this area are apartments. Townhouses are available on the outer reaches of the port but the very sought after Avenida Augusta and Montañar areas are a short walk away.
The Arenal
This is the main tourist attraction of the town. The sandy beach that is sheltered within a cove is man made and bordered by a long line of bars and restaurants.
During the Summer months, this area is the busiest in the town and apartments are full of tourists enjoying their holidays. The beach can be busy during the months of July and August but other months it is an ideal location to relax and enjoy the sun.
Properties in this area are nearly all apartments. Houses are available on the outer-reaches of the area again and into the campo (countryside) but on the whole apartments have been built to cater to those who want to live in this part of Javea.
Rental opportunities for properties in the Arenal area of Javea are great due to the high number of tourists looking to stay in the area.
Although Javea is split into three main sections these are not so far apart that you would not be able to move easily between them all and as the years go by and development continues it seems the separation is becoming much less.

Surrounding Towns
Javea is the most Easterly point of Spain and sits roughly in the middle of the Mediterranean coastline. On the Costa Blanca, Javea’s closest towns are Moraira, Benitachell, Gata de Gorgos, Jesus Pobre and Denia. The latter being the central fiscal and judiciary capital of the community.
